When Jared Flinn and Matt Fredin started BulkLoads in 2011, the bulk freight industry was stuck in the past. Shippers posted loads on bulletin boards. Carriers dispatched with spreadsheets and whiteboards. Invoicing meant three days of paperwork every week.
They built BulkLoads.com to fix the matching problem: connecting shippers with bulk carriers across the country. It worked. Within a few years, BulkLoads became the #1 load board for bulk freight in North America, serving hopper bottoms, end dumps, walking floors, pneumatics, and liquid tankers.
